HIGH END DRYWALL / THE CRAFTSMAN
I’m Martin, the owner and craftsman behind High End Drywall.
My grandfather was a plasterer. My father spent his working life alongside him, carrying the craft forward as plaster gradually gave way to drywall. My grandfather kept working well into his eighties before retiring, having left his mark on homes for miles around. My father continued building a legacy of his own.
I remember being on job sites as a kid, mesmerized by my father applying mud to walls. To me, it looked like magic performed by a magician.

Over time, I started helping out. Then one day, while Pops went to pick up lunch, I decided to try applying the mud myself. I was fifteen. When he came back, he couldn’t believe the joint I’d pulled on my first try.
The hawk and trowel have been in my hands ever since.
I kept asking questions, refining my technique and learning how to work more efficiently. Eventually, I bought my own tools and moved from renovation work into new-home builds.
Today, I bring that foundation and over twenty years of experience to the homes I work on.
Straight lines. Crisp corners. Smooth surfaces. Clean transitions where walls, ceilings and architectural features meet.
Those are the things I look for in my own work. A room can look straightforward until daylight travels across a ceiling or catches the edge of a corner. That’s where patience, technique and an experienced eye show.
Whether I’m finishing new drywall, flattening a textured ceiling or working through a detailed stairwell, I take pride in bringing the surfaces together.
My business has grown entirely through word of mouth, built on the values I bring to every project: integrity in how I do business, quality in my workmanship, and compassion for the people and pets who welcome me into their homes.

I serve Renfrew, Arnprior, Pembroke, Calabogie and surrounding Ottawa Valley communities, with service available in English and French.
